Self-Organised Learning Environments (SOLEs) are created when educators encourage students to work as a community to answer big questions using the Internet. Students are free to organise their own groups and are then asked to present their findings to the rest of the class towards the end of the lesson. The teacher facilitates the presentation, review and feedback session providing encouragement and posing further questions. In this session I will be presenting research findings on the impact of SOLEs and how they can help create a more autonomous and collaborative classroom.
