  • 29 June – 3 July 2026
  • Masaryk University Language Centre, Komenského nám. 2, Brno, Czech Republic

About the Course

The week-long summer school Practical Use of AI in Teaching is designed for teachers, lecturers, and university instructors who wish to develop their skills in applying artificial intelligence in education. Participants will explore current AI tools and possibilities that can enrich lesson preparation, student assessment, and the learning process itself. The program combines hands-on workshops, sharing of good practice examples, and individual experimentation with AI tools. The aim is to enable participants to practically experience integrating AI into teaching across various subjects, enhance their critical digital literacy, and learn to use AI as a partner for creative and effective education.

Why choose this summer school?

  • Learn by doing: Work with real AI tools every day
  • Practical focus: Learn skills you can use in teaching immediately
  • Supportive environment: Learn, experiment, share and grow together

What can you expect?

Over the week you will:

  • Learn how to create and customize AI tools (such as chatbots, writing or grading assistants) that can support your teaching and administrative work.
  • Get hands-on experience with AI platforms used in education, experimenting with text, image, and voice-based tools.
  • Develop workflow automation skills – how to identify routine tasks in your teaching and make them more efficient with AI support.
  • Use AI for data-informed teaching, creating summaries, reports, and visual overviews of student progress and learning outcomes.
  • Reflect on ethical and responsible use of AI, including privacy, bias, and transparency in educational settings.
  • Enhance your critical digital literacy and learn to see AI as a partner for creative, effective, and inclusive learning.
