Italian for Beginners I

The Italian course for Beginners I is for everyone curious about the Italian language and some basic previous knowledge: You should be able to introduce yourself, speak about yourself, describe someone and ask for information, speak about things you like or dislike, tell time, speak about your free time, describe where something is, speak about past events and talk about weather. You should be able to use the articles, prepositions combined with articles, the regular and irregular verbs in the present, past and future tense, including modal verbs and numbers 1 - 1 000 000).

During the classes, you will discover Italian language, culture, history and society.

The aim of this course is to develop all four skills (listening comprehension, reading, writing, and speaking) and introduce you to new vocabulary (very high frequency vocabulary) and Italian grammar, with emphasis on comprehension and communication.

By the end of the course, you will be able to use possessive pronouns, imperfect tense, conditional. You´ll be able to speak about your family, talk about past events, order in a restaurant, do shopping and agree and disagree with someone.

The course will follow the textbook Nuovissimo progetto italiano 1 Unità 6 - 8 + additional materials.

This course entitles the graduate to obtain microcredentials.

What are microcredentials?

A Microcredential (MC) is an official certificate obtained after finishing a specialized course, which you complete with a demonstrable verification of your competencies. It is issued in electronic form, verifiable, transferable and internationally recognized. It serves as proof of your further (lifelong) education and can support your study or professional career.

If you apply for a microcredential in a CJV language course, the teacher will test the acquired knowledge with you at the end.
