  • 28 – 29 April 2023
  • MU Language Centre, Komenského nám. 2, Brno
    Room 300

In 2023 on 28 & 29 April, the FIESOLE Group is holding its 8th Symposium in Brno, at Masaryk University. The Symposium is a meeting of colleagues from all over Europe to discuss the promotion of doctoral and post-doctoral mobility in Europe and beyond.

This year’s Symposium is dedicated to the issue of diversity in academia, with a special focus on Equality, diversity, and inclusivity (EDI) in the multicultural Higher Education classroom. Among other questions, we will share ideas on the following:

  • How do we increase awareness of EDI in our training practices?
  • How can we raise respect / maintain respect for multilingualism/multiculturalism in English medium instruction (EMI) settings?
  • What stances, as trainers/researchers, are we taking / should we be taking to EDI?
  • How do we prepare early-career scholars to adapt to different expectations as they move from one context to another?
