Session on peer-reviewing

The seminar is aimed at the development of writing skills and awareness of the readership. It will cover the different stages of writing (process, rather than product-oriented approach); checklists and feedback forms with criteria and descriptors will be explained and discussed together. Students will be collaborating to improve their writing skills.

It can be viewed as a semi-authentic task since it helps prepare for future professional situations, when students are to produce written texts (e.g. reports, emails, etc.) and may be exposed to peer reviewing (e.g. on submitting their research for publication, projects for acceptance, etc.) or become reviewers for other professionals’ work.
