Summer Cinema Sessions

Summer Cinema Sessions is a special summer holiday online programme, prepared by the MU Language Centre, which was initiated by students and teachers from Ukrainian partner universities. This is a series of online meetings that are designed in a conversational way, we will talk about topics captured in selected films. See the program HERE.

There are also holidays in Ukraine right now, and students from our partner universities from Dnipro and Horlivka are in the area, which is not far from the front line. They face air raids daily, war is a permanent presence in their lives.

In this regard, "Summer Cinema Sessions" is the way in which we want to encourage, support and offer diversion in their difficult situation to Ukrainian students and colleagues. Therefore, it will be informal conversations (not only) about the films that the participants will watch before the meeting. The online Sessions themselves are then dedicated only to discussions and debates, in Czech, English and Spanish. Details including deadlines and necessary links are given in the programme.

Please share the event with your classmates and friends. For MUNI, we are looking for students - volunteers who would like to participate in the discussions. It is not necessary to participate in all meetings, it is enough if we manage to find a few people willing to converse in English, Czech or Spanish for each online discussion.
