You can find over 2000 different languages and dialects in Africa. Let us give you a tour and introduce one of the main ones, Kiswahili. Join us on 14 September at the language centre and gain new knowledge about the Swahili culture!

Corona Cermak, the native speaker, will talk about the Kiswahili language and the Swahili culture. You will learn where and when the Kiswahili language originated and how it is shaping our future. Last year the United Nations announced that the 7th of July is World Kiswahili day, the only African language to have world day. We will talk about the food, culture, film, music, tourism, literature, and the countries and universities using and teaching Kiswahili.

Karibuni ( Welcome)!

14 September, 18:00-19:00
"Taste of Swahili Culture" is free of charge. To register for the event, please enter your e-mail address below.

After our introduction, you may find a new interest in Swahili and join our Kiswahili course for beginners! You can continue exploring the language with Corona Cermak this September in "Swahili for Absolute Beginners".
