New language courses focused on personal development
Language Centre is opening new courses focused on soft skills, personal development, and plurilingual competencies. The registration is through the Information System. You can gain not only language skills through our courses but also develop your knowledge in presenting or effective communication in a multicultural environment.
CJVPLK Plurilingual competence in English and other languages
The course focuses on the development of plurilingual competences, in particular the ability to communicate in a multilingual, multicultural environment and the ability to mediate information and concepts across languages and cultures.
Upon completion of the course, the student will be able to: - describe and explain important phenomena and concepts typical of their own culture; - understand the description of phenomena and concepts in other cultures and be sensitive to their differences; - work with materials in different languages and combine them appropriately; - convey understanding of texts in another language in English; - communicate effectively in a multicultural environment using basic strategies that foster plurilingual communication; - engage in teamwork; - present to plurilingual audiences who do not share a language of communication.
PPSR_KPD Rozvoj kognitivních a prezentačních dovedností v cizím jazyce
The course, is conducted primarily in Czech with the use of English. The main aim is to develop the participants' cognitive and presentation skills and thus contribute to their personal growth. Therefore, the emphasis is on practical exercises, activities and tasks that form part of the foreign language cognitive training. Knowledge of English at least at A2 level is assumed.
