Do you want to get better at using English at work? Join us for a week at the Professional English Bootcamp in Brno. This course will help you talk and work better with others. You will do fun activities like group work, thinking of new ideas, solving problems, and practice talking. You will get better at speaking and understanding English, which will help you in your job.

Dynamic Learning for Dynamic Professionals

The course is about using English in real work situations. You will learn by doing things like:

  • Professional Small Talk and Introductions: learn how to start and have conversations in a professional setting, complete with practical phrases and idioms.
  • Effective Email Communication: improve your skills in writing clear and professional emails with the right tone and style using our templates and language guides.
  • Meetings, Argumentation, and Negotiation: learn how to participate in meetings, use arguments and negotiate in English, you will get a checklist of phrases and strategies.
  • Perfecting Presentations: learn how to create and give a wonderful presentation, improve techniques to get the attention of audience, you will get a toolkit of phrases and presentation checklists.
  • Constructive Feedback and Self-Reflection: share the product of your work and practise presentation skill, learn how to give feedback and focus on self-reflection to plan your future learning path.

  • Get useful materials to keep learning later

Practical Information:

  • Please bring a laptop to use our online resources.
  • Meet people and make new contacts

Minimum level of English

Certification

Upon successful completion and minimum 85 % attendance, participants receive a Masaryk University Language Centre Certificate of Attendance.

Masaryk University Language Centre – the summer school venue

The programme will take place in the Masaryk University Building at Komenského náměstí 2, Brno, Czech Republic.

The Masaryk University Language Centre is based in the heart of Brno and the city’s cultural and social life is literally on its doorstep. Together with The Centre for International Cooperation, The Teiresias Support Centre for Students with Special Needs and The University Computer Centre with a non-stop service, the Language Centre is housed in a Neo-Renaissance building, opened originally for the German University of Technology in 1860. Today, the building offers state-of-the-art teaching and learning resources and facilities to Masaryk University students and staff-members.
